June 11 2018 The Ruidoso Osos defeated the Alpine Cowboys 7-3 at Kokernot Field. Alpine took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but Ruidoso answered with five runs in the fourth and added two more in the sixth to secure the victory. Alpine scored its final run in the sixth inning.
Dillon Fahr led Ruidoso with two hits, two runs, one RBI, one walk and two stolen bases.
Colton Draney went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, while D. Reddy,
Brock Hartley and
Christian Triplett also collected multiple hits for the Osos. Ruidoso finished with nine hits and five RBIs, with no home runs recorded.
Draney earned the win after allowing three runs on nine hits over 6.1 innings while striking out five and walking one.
Jesus Grimaldo pitched 1.2 scoreless innings with one strikeout, and
Skyler Henderson completed the game with a scoreless ninth. Alpines
Seth Douglas had three hits and drove in all three of the Cowboys runs, while
Jonathan Bigley went 3-for-3 with two runs and a walk.
Cam Carney took the loss after allowing seven runs on eight hits in six innings.
